Season 9 Begins

Season 9 starts with focus on The PPP of the NRV, where I’ll look at the lessons, challenges, and quiet strength found in the New River Valley. The mountains are now part of the message. The new cover art reflects that, a simple silhouette in a winter landscape that represents the peace, clarity, and steady lessons I have found since moving to the New River Valley.

My family and I came here because of a work opportunity for my wife and a chance for me to try remote work. The timing lined up with the world’s shift during COVID, and what began as an experiment turned into a healthier way of living. The mountains, the quiet, the community, and the pace here have shaped me more than I expected.

This season I will be talking with people across the NRV and Appalachia, neighbors whose stories reflect resilience, purpose, creativity, service, and steady progress. I will also share my own reflections on what this region has taught me about leadership, health, fatherhood, and finding balance.
