This week, America was hit again with tragedy: a young man was murdered, another school shooting occurred, and police officers were killed in the line of duty. These moments of grief and division mirror the same drift we often see in our workplaces, where people are disconnected, processes break down, and progress stalls.
In this episode of People, Process, Progress, I share how the 7 Project Pillars of Intent, Definition of Done, Objectives, Organization, Resources, Communication, and Handoff, apply not only to project management but also to our everyday lives. They give us a way to re-engage with each other at home, at work, and in our communities when things feel unstable.
The takeaway is simple: frameworks fade, but alignment holds.
By naming intent, agreeing on what done looks like, setting objectives, clarifying roles, being honest about resources, choosing to communicate, and handing off values as well as tasks, we can stop drifting and start reconnecting.
