Set Boundaries Before Burnout

Last week, we discussed body recovery techniques, including breathing, yoga, and cold plunges. This week, on Set Boundaries Before Burnout, we reset our minds by focusing on boundaries.

There was a time when I said yes to everything. Projects, meetings, extra commitments. It looked like dependability, but it was really a path to distraction and burnout. What I’ve learned is that saying yes to everything is essentially saying no to my health, focus, and family.

Boundaries are not walls; they are guardrails. They protect us from sliding into burnout and give us clarity about what matters most.

Here’s one simple reset you can try today: when someone asks you to take on something new, respond with:
“I can’t take that on right now, but here’s what I can do.”

This phrase keeps the door open for collaboration without draining your energy. It signals that you are willing, but you are not willing to burn out.

Reset Fridays are about small actions that create big impact. This week’s action is simple: set one boundary, protect your energy, and show up better for the work and relationships that count.
