Hearts Aren’t Always Red

Hearts aren’t always red

This week’s Foundations Friday is a follow up to PPP88: 10 Things That Got Us to 20 Years of Marriage and the title is inspired by the White Buffalo’s song “I Got You“. It is a beautifully written and performed song. The lyric, “Hearts aren’t always red, they’re black and blue” speaks to the imperfection in relationships.

In this imperfection the hope is we learn to compromise a little better, to become stronger as a couple and, like in life, we’ll take some lumps and bruises along the way.
