Public Health protects America

In ‘America’s Public Health History’ I walk the listener through how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) started. I also share how the great men and women of our Local and State health departments the United States boast one of the strongest Public Health systems in the world. I also share background on two key programs focused on Public Health and Healthcare preparedness and response, my first hand experience working disease outbreaks as a Local Public Health Emergency Coordinator and State Hospital Preparedness Coordinator and review the CDC’s guidance and latest (3/13/2020) updates on the COVID-19 pandemic.
