Foundations Friday 34: Embracing “Good” by Jocko Willink

Watch the full video here.

If you haven’t watched “Good” on YouTube like over 8 million other people have, you should. The simple message of staying to yourself, “Good”, then pivoting to the positive in a difficult situation is a powerful exercise and mindshift. I’ve been a fan of the Jocko Podcast and the message of Extreme Ownership since 2017 or so. Jocko’s podcast with Echo Charles and his books with Leif Babin have all served as catalysts for me to be a better individual, family man and co-worker.

In ‘Foundations Friday 34: Embracing “Good” by Jocko Willink’ I share some of my same sentiments from above, but also how we can look at our current, collective hardships and think, “Good”…insert positive benefit.

While not everyone can jump right into the idea of thinking “Good” after a loss, tragedy or other difficulty, I think we can all collectively work to get out of the mental slump created by COVID, political divisiveness and all the other “stuff” we’ve been through over the past 18 months.

Stay safe out there, perform good public health by washing your hands and Godspeed,

Kevin
