“Debra A. Woog (pronounced like “Vogue” magazine) is a Crisis Navigation Partner™ with 30+ years of experience as a leadership researcher, executive and advisor. Debra provides highly competent women with expertise, structure and empathy so that they can process difficult situations, connect with necessary resources, communicate effectively, and lead with a clear mind and a solid strategy.“
I quoted the above directly from Debara Woog’s website at http://www.connecttwo.com. Why re-write such a well written explanation of how someone can help another human? I was fortunate to connect with Debra a few months ago and just recently we were able to make our schedules work and put together a very informative (and timely) episode.
In this episode we learn about Debra’s own journey with crisis that includes losing a close friend at a young age, learning to care for a child with a chronic medical condition and working through divorce. Throughout our conversation we hear Debra’s enthusiasm and realness and I appreciated the time I spent with her to learn her story and how she’s helping others deal with tough times.
As the Founder of “Connect 2”, Debra serves as “Crisis Navigation Partner” to her clients by helping them develop “stress hardiness”. Some of the tools and techniques Debra provides include walking us through preparing for a crisis by evaluating our Capacity, developing our Community and building our Communication Skills. Some of the crises Debra helps clients work through include job loss, divorce, co-parenting and downsizing.
Thank you for reading this and listening to our conversation.
Stay safe out there, wash your hands and Godspeed,
