As a 46 year old I’m still amazed daily at the advances in technology over the past 20-30 years. It’s been cool to have seen the jump from the dial up sounds of AOL, Yahoo and other CD installed internet providers to the 100+ Megabytes per second of data streaming to some homes in the United States and across the world. This year I did my best to leverage this speed to stay productive at work, keep in touch with family and continue my passion to share process and people’s stories on this website and via the ‘People, Process, Progress’ podcast.

As you can see in the graphic on the left, the website had visitors from 54 different countries and people or their devices downloaded episodes of the podcast from 66 countries. It’s interesting to me to see the crossover points between folks who both listened and read the site here with areas where some visited the website, but don’t appear to have listened to the podcast.
I’m happy to share that the podcast will continue to be international with a special guest in early 2021 and more great stories throughout the year. I’m also appreciative that with everything going on all across the globe that people took some time to come visit the site or give the podcast a listen. We are all truly connected by this amazing internet, but more so by our humanity.
As we near the end of 2020 let’s continue to remember our hardships and losses, but also the fortunate time we had with those lost and the time we still have with our fellow humans. We have many lessons learned from 2020 to apply to 2021. Let’s all try to shore up those areas for improvement in communication and patience with those we may not agree with, but let’s also continue to build on our strengths of innovation in medicine and health and in breaking down old workforce mantras such as treating telework as an anomaly.
Godspeed to you all,
Kevin
